| Series 46, Part 9 Considering the Ideal Form of Humanity It seems that all life forms on Earth have their own purposes and limitations for living. However, life forms other than humans, even though they are alive, live according to the detailed program of their genes from birth to death, and that seems to be the meaning and purpose of their existence. However, they have no sense of self or will. Even though some of them have brains, they do not have the ability to think like humans do. The absence of the ability to think means they are unaware of their own existence. They have no will through thought. They have no self. They cannot make plans. They cannot defy the instructions of their genes. Even if it appears they have preferences like glikeh or gdislike,h it seems this is simply following the instructions of their genetic program. They lack the values, evaluations, and judgments based on thought that humans possess. Therefore, there is no concept of good and bad, beautiful and ugly, or happy and unhappy. This seems to be the true nature of the universe, excluding intelligent life forms. The human world is a special world created by humans, who are intelligent life forms. That said, humans are also created by genes and are alive. Humans have long pondered questions such as, gWhat is a human?h gWhat is life?h gWhat is the purpose of human existence?h gWhy do we live?h However, even today, no clear answers have been found. As an exception, the function of the brain to believe has been regarded as having an answer. * Why can't humans find a purpose for their existence? The answer may lie in the differences between humans and other life forms. If any life form could think like humans, one can imagine anything. Perhaps the reason humans seem to have no purpose is because they have the freedom to think. So, I pondered. Does humanity have an ideal form? As a matter of fact, it is unclear. There may be no answer. Humans have created many things that do not exist and believe in their existence. Even though many of these were mistakes, we have not realized that corrections are necessary. Could this be an important clue for considering the future of humanity? Humans do not have a clear ideal nor future. Neither ideal nor future is existence. However, the human brain has created even things that do not exist through imagination. We can create anything. We have created anything we have noticed, thought of, or imagined. Time, the future, the past ?we have created all of these. Not only words like freedom, equality, and human rights, but also new products, new ideas, and even things that do not exist, things that have never existed before, and things that are impossible to imagine. Flying like a bird, going to the moon, living on Mars, exploring the Milky Way Galaxy beyond the solar system, traveling to other galaxies, and even to the edge of the universe?the imagination driven by thought knows no bounds. * The human world is created by human thought. Even though humans live in nature, they have created values to evaluate and judge facts based on their own thoughts, thereby creating the human world. Compared to the universe, it is an infinitely small world, but within it, it appears to be an infinitely large world. In that world, humans have come to believe they are the strongest, the rulers, and can do as they please. However, territorial disputes and wars persist, leaving the world unstable. In the natural world, there is no conflict, no problems, and no contradictions. It is a world as it is. There is no good and bad, no happiness and unhappiness. The human world is shaped by thoughts, values, evaluations, and judgments. This is why there are concepts of good and bad, beautiful and ugly, and happiness and unhappiness. This is the cause of various conflicts, contradictions, and unsolvable issues. Issues such as murder, suicide, and war that arise among humanity stem from the same reason. The human world is out of harmony with reality. The meaning of humanity being an intelligent life form lies in its ability to think, and that is the essence of its existence. This cannot be denied. The issue here is not the ability to think itself. What is important is how that ability is used, what has been created, and what is being created. In other words, the human brain recognizes differences, but the values created from those differences are created by humans and are the cause of problems. Are humans unaware of this? * The reason humans have no purpose is because they have the freedom to think. If humans are given a purpose or goal in life and come to regard it as important or absolute, they will lose their freedom, no longer need to think, and may become no different from other life forms. Humans have created everything. Questions and answers are created, They do not exist. From this, it seems possible to think as follows: Purposes and goals are not given; they are created. Individual goals, the way human society exists, humanity's goals, and humanity's future do not exist; they are created. Humans have long pondered questions such as, gWhat is a human being?h gWhat is the purpose of human life?h gWhy do we live?h However, the answers to these questions do not exist. They are not predetermined. They are created. Instead of having no purpose, humans have the freedom to think. This freedom to think is what makes us intelligent beings. Thinking ability allows humans to create ideals and purposes for humanity. What humans create is not a fact as it is, but it can be made to align more closely with the truth. Because humans have power to think, they can create ideals and purposes for humanity. They can create anything. Up until now, even though humans have had the freedom to think, have they not failed to sufficiently consider the conditions necessary for survival, and have they not thought about or created ideals and purposes for humanity? The freedom to think has primarily been used to satisfy a sense of superiority and pursue self-interest. The current human world is a realm of evaluation and judgment based on human values. Different countries have different thoughts and values. Each country continues to prioritize its own interests, asserting its land as national territory, and continues to increase its defense budget, which suggests that they view the Earth as humanityfs possession and use the freedom to think for the pursuit of their national interests? What is required of humanity is to reconsider and revise the current approach to the freedom to think, and to rebuild human society with thoughts that are harmonious with facts, suitable for intelligent life forms.
